Summer Adventures
With the weather turning cold it's time to look back on all the time we spent in old dead towns and trash pits, not to mention old outhouses, during the spring and summer. We managed to find a few items and some nice pits this year.  I had to eat my words "there's not that much left out there".
The most exciting dig was on an old lot downtown.  They had scraped over 3 feet off the back lot and revealed the tops of tow pits.  The first was from the 1860's and the next from the 1880's.  For Utah, 1860's holes are quite rare.  The photos speak for themselves.
The following are a handful of other exciting finds we made this year.  It was a great season.  Polish up the probes and get your digging gear in order.  When the spring comes and the soil is soft, it's time to get back out there!
