Legendary Treasure Hunter Bruce Dugger
Bruce began with an interest in History and  a desire to preserve the past.  He saw how so many historical sites were lost in the name of progress.  This interest led him to bottle collecting in the 1980's which is late by bottle collecting standards..  Then a couple of years later  he was introduced to a metal detector.  He was hooked!  Metal Detecting was alot less dirty (in most cases) and he had a knack for finding what was lost.   He has a wonderful metal collection.

The thing that strikes me as somewhat different is that Bruce doesn't just look for Random objects.  He has a quest. His targets are very specific and the other finds are incidental to the quest.
For example, he spent over a year looking for a specific Token from Green River, and the same for a specific token from Winterquarters.  As a result, he has some of Utah's rarest tokens.  Now he is spending alot of time in Carbon County.

Bruce had the good fortune to be allowed to search in Camp Floyd and now has a great Historical Collection of early Military objects.

Bruce has been very meticulous about his hobby. Most is preserved in volumes of binders in his Historical home which he is restoring.  His finds are neatly labeled as to where and when they were discovered.   His finds are extensive.

It starts simple enough, a curiosity for what is out there lying around.  And then it grows, more and more leading to more dirt and bigger holes.

And then someone says "try this" and suddenly things change and you fill your house, your garage and spend all your spare time doing it.  And the legend begins..........
